The Thermion Duo DXP50 is the first multispectral hunting scope offered by Pulsar, combining the effectiveness of thermal imaging detection with the comfort of daytime observation. Combining all of the best features from Pulsar’s previous models, the Duo DXP50 is equipped with a 4K Full-Color Sensor and a European-Made <25 mK NETD High-Sensitivity Thermal Imaging Sensor, allowing the user to take full advantage of both. This multispectral system’s 4K Full-Color Channel is ideal for daytime use, while the Thermal Imaging mode can be used for nighttime applications. The Thermal function can also be used as an auxiliary mode for adverse daytime environments such as fog, rain, dense vegetation, or oncoming sunlight – conditions that would normally prevent detection with traditional daytime optics. The Full-Color Channel itself utilizes an advanced 4K-resolution CMOS sensor, capable of providing superb detail and recognition across the entire 2x – 16x magnification range. An added benefit of the 4K Full-Color Channel is it doesn’t require focusing, offering a new level of simplicity, convenience, and quick target acquisition. The High-Sensitivity Thermal Imaging Sensor on the other hand can detect the smallest variations of temperature in unfavorable conditions or in environments where thermal contrast is poor. Its <25 mK NETD Sensor can pick up a 1.8-meter tall heat signature at a range of up to 1800-meters away, ensuring reliable identification of game, trophy characteristics, important anatomical features, and exact details of the surrounding landscape. The potential of the Thermal Imaging Sensor is maximized thanks to a Fast Aperture F50/1.0 Germanium Lens, providing maximum detail in any weather or lighting condition. The click of a button allows the user to seamlessly switch between the 4K Full-Color Channel and <25 mK NETD Thermal Imaging Channel, and the field of view remains the same in each. The user can also use both channels simultaneously with the Duo DXP50’s Picture-In-Picture mode, which displays a secondary high-precision zeroing frame that only takes up 10% of the total display aera. The secondary zeroing frame is magnified, and can display either the color-imaging mode or thermal imaging mode.
In addition to its advanced Full-Color and Thermal Imaging functions, the Duo DXP50 is outfitted with a wide array of other features. To ensure maximum versatility in a multitude of different environments, the Duo DXP50’s thermal images can be viewed on 8 distinct color palettes: White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are ideal for object detection, while Rainbow and Ultramarine enhances recognition/identification. For extended nighttime observation, Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are an optimal choice. The Duo DXP50’s One-Shot Freeze Zeroing function makes zeroing the scope in fast and simple; simply determine the range to your target and take the shot, after that, the Duo DXP50 takes a photo of the target and sets the reticle to the bullet’s point of impact. Other features of the Duo DXP50 include improved WiFi connectivity and Stream Vision 2 App compatibility. These features allows the user to sync up a compatible Android/iOS device and stream or share photos and videos to family and friends.
